A great deal of my illustration and design work has been connected to the music industry. I am myself a musician, who has often been commissioned to do posters and marketing pieces for music groups I have been involved with, as well as for my own releases. This gallery is a sampling of my design and illustration work for CD and album releases, concert promotion, and other music-related materials.

Photographic collage made from a music-themed art installation at the Soap Factory, Minneapolis.
(Not my original installation, I just was the photographer.)
Part of an ongoing series of photographic collages made on the theme of pianos. My mother was a concert pianist and music teacher, piano was my first instrument, which I have played all my life.
I started making piano-themed photography, digital artwork, and collages circa 2004, which has become an ongoing personal project. I photograph pianos found in unusual settings, condition, and for example, at thrift stores, and make art from the photographs.
Some of the pieces in the series have been used as illustrations, later, for music journalism and criticism.
