Spiral Dance is a series of visionary illustrations, originally intended to be made into a Jungian, archetypal, shamanic oracle deck. Many of the illustrations are Photoshop pieces made from my own photographs, with some stock illustration elements. A number of individual images in this series have been entered in gallery exhibits, and have won awards. As yet this series has not been formally released as an oracle deck; I am still looking for a publisher.

Raccoon Spirit
Made after a gentle encounter with a mother raccoon at a state park. We stopped and watched each other for several minutes in companionable silence, before I took her portrait.
An interesting fact about the creation of this Photoshop visionary artwork is that the leaves and the feathers were laid directly on the digital scanner, using the flatbed as a kind of digital camera with a very narrow depth of field.
This image won an award in a Minneapolis gallery show.
